1. How many speaking engagements have you secured using the Secrets of Six Figure Speakers newsletter? I’ve secured 5 high-profile speaking engagements using the newsletter. Each of these opportunities has allowed me to reach diverse audiences in tech, leadership, and career development spaces.
2. Have any of those engagements resulted in paid speaking opportunities? Not at first, but I leveraged the initial unpaid engagements to negotiate paid speaking opportunities and coaching clients. Two of those were paid, showcasing the newsletter’s ability to connect speakers with valuable, high-impact opportunities.
3. What would you say are the benefits to being a subscriber to the newsletter? Being a subscriber gives you an insider’s edge. You get curated speaking opportunities, insights on industry trends, and actionable strategies to land gigs that align with your expertise and passion. Plus, the newsletter fosters a community of professionals who support each other’s growth.
4. What advice would you give to anyone looking to break into speaking? My biggest advice is to start small but think big. Begin by speaking at local events, panels, or even virtual sessions to build your portfolio. Consistently pitch yourself, refine your message, and always ask for feedback to improve. Stay ready, so when larger opportunities arise, you’re prepared to deliver.
5. What advice would you give to speakers who are struggling to get speaking opportunities? If you’re struggling, consider rebranding your message. Make sure your niche and expertise are clear to the decision-makers who book speakers. Networking is also critical—build relationships with event organizers, peers, and mentors. Sometimes, it’s who knows you and your work that gets you on the stage.
Final words… Leverage every opportunity to refine your storytelling and connect with your audience. Even unpaid opportunities can open doors to paid gigs if you deliver value and position yourself as a go-to expert in your field!
